Contracts, Terms & Legal

The commercial paperwork is where deals are quietly won or lost, and where businesses get exposed. I help get your terms, contracts and licences into shape, handle the negotiation, and tell you honestly when something needs a solicitor.

Where I come in

  • Terms of business. The terms your clients sign up to, written to protect you and hold up when it matters.
  • Client contracts. Clear agreements that set expectations, define the deal and prevent the disputes before they start.
  • Licences and agreements. The terms behind partnerships, software and IP, structured to be commercially sound.
  • Negotiation. Handling the back-and-forth on your terms. I’ve sat across the table on real commercial disputes and deals.
  • Reviewing what you’re sent. A commercial read on an agreement before you sign, flagging what to push back on.
  • Knowing the limit. Recognising exactly when a matter needs a qualified solicitor, and getting you there prepared.

How I work

I’ve drafted and negotiated terms of business, client contracts, licensing agreements and billing structures for a real business, and handled the commercial side of genuine disputes and negotiations. So I know how these documents behave in practice, not just how they read, and where the commercial risk actually hides.

An honest note

To be clear: I’m not a solicitor and this isn’t legal advice or a substitute for it. What I offer is a commercially-minded pair of hands to get your terms and contracts into shape, run the negotiation, and spot the point where a qualified solicitor genuinely needs to be involved, so you’re not paying for legal advice you don’t need, or going without it when you do.

Common questions

Do you provide legal advice?

No. I handle the commercial drafting, structuring and negotiation, and I coordinate with qualified solicitors for anything that is formal legal advice. Knowing where that line falls is part of the service.

Can you review a contract I’ve been sent?

Yes, from a commercial standpoint. I’ll flag the terms worth questioning, what they mean for you in practice, and what to push back on before you sign. For a formal legal opinion, that’s a solicitor’s role.

Can you help me negotiate a deal?

That’s a core part of what I do. I’ve negotiated real commercial terms and disputes, and I can shape the position, handle the exchanges and keep the deal moving toward something you’re happy to sign.

Tell me what you’re trying to build.
